The Youth Orchestra is Sinfonía por el Perú’s flagship platform for advanced instrumental training and artistic development. It brings together more than 150 young musicians from music centres across the country, providing training based on the standards of artistic excellence and personal development established by the Advanced Music Training Programme. This formative pathway fosters socially responsible young leaders, committed to the progress and wellbeing of their communities and equipped to build purposeful lives with a lasting positive impact on those around them.

The orchestra has developed an international presence through its tours with Juan Diego Flórez in 2022 and 2024, performing at leading venues and festivals including the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the Lucerne, Gstaad and Salzburg Festivals. Its musicians have also received coaching from members of the Vienna Philharmonic. In Peru, the orchestra has performed at the Gran Teatro Nacional and the Teatro Municipal de Lima, as well as in opera productions and major public events at the Estadio Nacional and Lima’s Plaza Mayor.

The orchestra’s artistic development is also reflected in its recording projects, including its Christmas album, which received triple gold-disc certification in 2018 after selling more than 12,000 copies, and its participation in Juan Diego Flórez’s Zarzuela album (2024). Each artistic milestone and recording achievement reflects a methodology that brings together technical mastery, artistic excellence and civic responsibility, preparing young musicians to pursue meaningful paths both on and off the stage.

With arround a hundred voices, the Orfeó Català has performed some of the most recognisable works in choral repertoire, starring the first-ever performances in Spain of important works such as Bach’s Mass in B minor and Haydn’s The Seasons. The choir has been led by a range of internationally renowned conductors: Richard Strauss, Camille Saint-Saëns, Pau Casals, Zubin Mehta, Frans Brüggen, Mstislav Rostropovich, Charles Dutoit, Lorin Maazel, Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, Gustavo Dudamel, Kirill Petrenko and Thomas Hengelbrock, to name just a few.

Recent years have included performances of Considering Matthew Shepard by Craig Hella Johnson, in which the Orfeó Català starred in the European première under the baton of Simon Halsey; Beethoven’s oratorio Christ on the Mount of Olives with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle; Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, with the Palau Cor de Cambra and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel; the centenary celebration of the first performance in Spain of the St. Matthew Passion, with soloists from the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Orquestra Simfònica Camera Musicae and the Orfeó Català children’s choir, the Cor Infantil, all conducted by maestro Simon Halsey; and Oltra mar by Kaija Saariaho, together with the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya and under the baton of Anna Maria Helsing. In terms of international appearances, stand-out performances include the choir’s 2022 concert at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées in Paris, singing Puccini’s Messa di Gloria alongside the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg under the baton of Gustavo Gimeno; and the choir’s performances alongside the Berliner Philharmoniker in 2023, conducted by Kirill Petrenko, in a historic four-concert run: at the Berliner Philharmonie, the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, and at Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, with a rendition of Mozart’s Coronation Mass. The performance of Verdi’s Requiem Mass with the Dresden Staatskapelle, conducted by Daniele Gatti, at the Palau de la Música Catalana and in Madrid, and the premiere of Josep Ollé’s Te Deum should also be highlighted.

Founded in 1997 by renowned violinist Gidon Kremer, the Grammy-Award winning chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica is considered to be one of Europe’s most prominent international ensembles.

Maestro Kremer intentionally selected young, enthusiastic musicians to stave off the dreaded “orchestritis” that afflicts many professional orchestral players. Essential to Kremerata Baltica’s artistic personality is its creative approach to programming, which often ranges beyond the mainstream and has given rise to world premieres of works by composers such as Arvo Pärt, Giya Kancheli, Pēteris Vasks, Leonid Desyatnikov and Alexander Raskatov.

Since its establishment Kremerata Baltica has played in more than 50 countries, performing in 600 cities and giving more than 1000 concerts worldwide. The orchestra’s wide-ranging and carefully chosen repertoire is also showcased in its numerous and much-praised recordings. Its album of works by Mieczysław Weinberg on ECM was nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award, its recording of Shostakovich’s piano concertos with Anna Vinnitskaya won the ECHO Klassik 2016. The recording of Weinberg’s symphonies No. 2 and No. 21, a joined adventure with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, received a Gramophone Award in 2020.

Due to the coronavirus restrictions in 2020 the orchestra wasn’t able to meet, rehearse, perform concerts and travel the world as usual. But the members, living in different countries, didn’t loose their desire to perform music and bring joy to people. The members of Kremerata Baltica who live in Lithuania started preparing programs and performing concerts there, and those who live in Latvia started performing in Latvia and Estonia. This gave the beginning to Kremerata Lithuanica and Kremerata Lettonica.

The Kremerata Baltica also serves as a medium to share Gidon Kremer’s rich artistic experience with the new generation and, at the same time, to promote and inspire the musical and cultural life of the Baltics.

Pianist of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club and accompanist to Omara Portuondo for more than 15 years, Rolando Luna is regarded as one of the most inventive and creative pianists, composers, and arrangers of his generation, combining elegance, poetry, and virtuosity. He moves with incredible, jubilant ease between the worlds of classical music, jazz, and improvisation, without ever forgetting his Caribbean roots. The repertoire of the Rolando Luna Trio revolves around Rolando’s own compositions, Cuban and American standards, as well as boleros and danzones, reimagined by Rolando, who lends them new colors and uses them as a canvas for wonderful improvisations while always honoring the roots and essence of these themes. This jazz trio repertoire is often complemented by one or two solo pieces, including classical works that allow him great freedom of expression, such as preludes by Bach, Scriabin, Liadov or Debussy.
