Biography

Yannis Rammos gives masterclasses in piano and chamber music, and lectures at conservatories and doctoral schools of music, among them the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and its Special Music School, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität, and the Orpheus Instituut. His probing approach to sound and the musical text was formed with the pianist Viktor Abramov in Russia and further shaped in New York among artist-scholars of Schenkerian interpretive practice.
